Are solar panels worth it for Minnesota homeowners? Despite the fact our state has snowy and cold winters, Minnesota is a great place for solar panels on homes. Cold temps can actually improve panel efficiency. This class will go over how solar energy works, the benefits of installing solar panels, the coat and potential savings.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define what solar produced energy is and why it makes sense for homes.
  • Understand types of PV (photovoltaics) systems and installation site considerations.
  • Be familiar with general installation costs and return on investment (ROI).
